RECORDS FROM THE "LITTLE" CEMETERY AT
SEA VIEW, MARSHFIELD, MASS.

IN June, 1907, the writer, with the assistance of Messrs. Stanley W. Smith and Edward H. Whorf, copied and carefully verified the inscriptions on all the gravestones in the "Little" cemetery, near Summer Street at Sea View, Marshfield, Mass., and the copies were presented to the Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants. All genealogical facts in these inscriptions will be found in the following abstracts.
CUDWORTH
Benjamin,* son of Benjamin and Nancy; 1809-1810.
Benjamin,* son of Benjamin and Nancy; 1811-1830. Died at Richmond, Va.
Benjamin;* 1783-1829.
Isabella,* daughter of Benjamin and Nancy; 1828-1831.
James Henry,* son of Benjamin and Nancy; 1818-1832.
Nancy,* wife of Benjamin; 1781-1865.
HATCH
Alice, wife of Noah, died 17 November, 1832, in her 89th year.
, daughter of Capt. Noah and Alice, died 26 December, 1769, aged 2 days.
Crowell, son of Capt. Noah and Alice, died 10 December, 17[broken off], aged 8 months, 10 days.
Noah, died 20 February, 1808, in his 67th year.
KNOWLES
Paul, died 24 December, 1804, aged 42 years, 6 months. [On stone with son Paul.]
Paul, son of Paul, died 24 December, 1804, aged 13 years, 9 months, 14 days. [On his father's stone.]
LITTLE
Abigail, wife of Thomas, died 22 March, 1743/4, aged 21 years, 7 months, 20 days.
Alice, wife of Ephraim, died 2 January, 1791, "Aged 69 Years this Day" "A parent kind & Good"
Anna, died 10 December, 1832, aged 81 years.
Anna, widow of Thomas, died 3 October, 1842, in her 71st year.
Anna, died 2 May, 1881, aged 85 years, 6 months. [This stone and that of William H. Little are on one base.]
Avery, died 8 October, 1823, in his 27th year.
