1.   THOMAS, was prob. the first person bearing this surname in Hing., and although most of his descendants have lived and d. here during the past two centuries, but little information concerning their births, marriages, and deaths, is found upon our rec's.   Hence the names and dates relating to the sev. families may not in every instance be correct.   Thomas m. in Hing. March 16, 1687-88, Remember Stowell, dau. of Samuel and Mary (Farrow) Stowell.   She was b. in Hing. Apr. 22, 1662, and d. 5 Nov. 1694, æt. 33d yr.   I find no rec. of his decease.   Their
