Oct. 28, 1730. m. first, Content , and secondly, Oct. 20, 1767, Mrs. Lydia Tower. m. for his first w., March 16, 1754, Content Hathaway of Halifax, Mass.; and secondly, Oct. 20, 1767, Mrs. Lydia Tower, the wid. of Abner of Coh., who with his fa. David was drowned 2 Nov. 1765. (3:338) Rev. Ebenr. Gay's record has the foll. entry: "1777, March 20, wife of Elisha Bates died, æt. 54th yr." She was a dau. of Chasling Worrick. Resided in the sec. pre.
