GRAVESTONE RECORDS FROM THE CEMETERY
IN HALIFAX, MASS., ON THE SHORE OF
MONPONSETT LAKE

IN May and July, 1906, the writer, with the assistance of Messrs. John W. Willard, William J. Ham, Arthur E. Linnell and Edward H. Whorf, made copies of all inscriptions, dated prior to 1851, with a few of later date, in the cemetery on the banks of Monponsett Lake in Halifax, Mass. These copies were presented to the Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants, and all genealogical facts found in them are given in the following abstracts.
ALLEN
Hannah, wife of Dr. Micah, died 15 January, 1789, in her 49th year.
BATCHELDER
William, Doctor, died 26 September, 1776, aged 32 years.
William, son of Dr. William and Joanna, died 6 December, 1776, aged 11 weeks.
BEARSE
Abiah, daughter of Austin and Hannah, died 19 October, 1747, aged 8 years, 3 months, 10 days.
