B. 1775, and his child d. there the same year.

   WOODWARD.—Capt. Nathaniel Woodward (from Taunton probably) m. Elizabeth, D. of Benjamin Willis, 1708, and settled in S. B., near the bridge ever since called "Woodward's Bridge," and had Susanna 1709, Sarah 1712; he died 1741, æ. 71.   Susanna m. Charles Latham a. 1724.—There was a Hannah Woodward who m. Joshua Willis 1734.

   Nathaniel Woodworth, s. of John, born at Taunton 1679.   It may be that the name of Woodworth and Woodward were originally the same, like Southworth and Southard.

   WOODWISS.—James Carkis Woodwiss m. Hannah Washburn 1770, and had Sarah 1770, John 1772, Mary 1773.   Sarah d. 1816.

   WORMAL, WERMAL, OR WORMELL.—John Wormell m. Mary Bryant, 1729, and had Joseph 1732, Benjamin 1735, John 1738.   He removed to Halifax and there d., and his estate was settled 1754, and his wid. m. Robert Henry.

   Sarah Wormal m. Nehemiah Allen 1707.   This family came from Duxbury to Bridgewater probably, and was originally from Scituate, where James Wermal took the oath of fidelity 1638.

   YOUNG.—John Young (a Scotchman, born in the Shire of Renfew) came to this country quite young; was cousin to the Hon. Hugh Orr, with whom he served an apprenticeship, and m. Eunice, D. of Capt. Jonathan Bass 1752, and settled in E. B., and had Robert 1754, Agnes 1756, Samuel 1760, Bethuel 1763*, Jennet 1765, Thomas 1768, John 1771, Eunice 1775.   His wife d. 1780, æ. 43, and he m. Leah Bonney of Pembroke; he d. 1798, æ. 68; she 1800, æ. 63.   Agnes d. 1777.—Samuel d. 1777.—John died 1792.—Jennet m. John Phillips 1784, and d. 1823.—Eunice m. John Harris 1795, and d. 1811.

   2.   Robert (s. of John 1) m. Mary, D. of Capt. David Kingman, 1775, and had Samuel 1777, Agnes 1779*, Parnel 1781, Robert 1782*, Molly 1784*, a son 1787*, Betsy 1790, Welcome 1792*, his wife d. 1831, æ. 77.   Samuel was Purser on board the Boston Frigate, Capt. Little, and was killed at the capture of the Burceau 1800.—Parney d. 1800.—Mr. Robert Young died 1839, æ. 85.
