43. Ebenezer (s. of Daniel 34) m. Joanna Atwood 1785, and was drowned in a well at Taunton in a fit; he had Ebenezer, George, Huldah, Olive, and Joanna. Ebenezer lived in Mid'o. George m. a D. of John Drew of Taunton, and left two sons, George and William.Huldah m. Benja. Warren of Mid'o., and Olive m. Dr. Vaughn of Mid'o.Joanna not m.Ebenezer Willis d. in Mid'o. 1840, æ. 49.
44. Mr. Nathaniel Willis (brother of Dea. John 1) was likewise an original Proprietor, and among the first settlers in Bridgewater. He was a respectable man, and designated on the early records as Mr. Nathaniel Willis, which was as high a title as was given in that day; he is said to have been the first schoolmaster here. He d. before his brother John, and his estate was settled 1686; his w. survived, but her name is not given; he had Elkanah and Bethiah. There was a Mary b. at Sandwich 1648, probably his D.; he lived there a short time. Bethiah d. 1716.
45. Elkanah (s. of Nathaniel 44) and his w. Mercy had Nathaniel 1678, Judith 1682; she d. 1709; he 1711.
46. Nathaniel (s. of Elkanah 45) m. Hannah, D. of John Titus of Rehoboth 1712, and had Ephraim 1713, Elkanah 1719; he d. 1747; she 1753.[See Nathaniel, No. 18.]
47. Ephraim (s. of Nathaniel 46) and his w. Ann settled in N. B., and had Ann 1750*. His w. d. 1751, and he m. Elizabeth Gernsey or Ganza 1758, and had Ephraim 1759, John 1761, Ann, Betsy; he d. 1790, æ. 76. Ann m. Moses Pike 1790.Betsy m. Jarvis Pike 1790, both of Attleboro'.
48. Elkanah (s. of Nathaniel 46) m. Mary Sables of Stoughton 1744; he had also a w. Sarah, perhaps 2d w., and had Sarah 1749*, Samuel 1751, Nathaniel 1753, Sarah 1755. No further account of this family.
49. Ephraim (s. of Ephraim 47), a Baptist preacher, m. Eunice, D. of Hezekiah Egerton 1779, and had Polly 1781, Stillman 1785. He m. a 2d wife, Frances Lemote of E. 1787, and had Ephraim, James N., Milton, David, Frances, Sarah. Polly m. Jacob Dunbar Jr. 1802.Stillman m. Huldah, D. of Jona. Snow Esq. 1809.Frances m. Thos.
