71. Matthew (s. of Ebenezer 34) m. Keziah, D. of Luke Perkins, 1781, and had Nehemiah, Eliphalet, Matthew, Keziah; he d. 1795, or before. Nehemiah m. Chloe, and Eliphalet m. Abigail, Ds. of Nathan Snell, 1807 and 1814, and both went to Me.
72. Dea. Eliphalet (s. of Ebenezer 34) m. Lydia, D. of Wm. Barrell 1782, and had Robert 1784, Ruth 1786, Bela 1793, Lydia 1795. He went to Me., and had afterwards two wives, a Reed, and Anna Thayer 1800, wid. of David Thayer; she was a French, and had Betsy, Mary, and Esther.—Ruth m. Dr. Samuel W. Thayer.—Dea. [ Note 13 ] Silence Packard, daughter of Parmenas 91, was born in 1792 (Bridgewater VR 1:249) and (name given as Tiley) married John in 1814 in the North Parish of Bridgewater (Brockton VR 258, 263). It is likely that John's sons (at least the first three) were from a previous marriage. The mother of John's children is not named in town records (Bridgewater VR 1:240-244).
[ Note 14 ] Ebenezer's first child was Milletiah (Emelitiah), not Mehitable, born 1774 (Bridgewater VR 1:246). She married Barnabas Packard (son of Simeon 43) in 1794 (Bridgewater VR 2:274), not Walter Ames.
